The chicks have known each other since grade school and share a love for dogs of all shapes and sizes.
Each chick comes from a background in animal rescue and they finally decided to join forces and make it official last year. The Chicks & Mutts auxiliary consists of the husbands of the chicks, plus dads, moms, brothers and sisters.
HSNT is passionate about helping animals in need. Our mission is to act as an advocate on behalf of all animals and to ensure their legal, moral and ethical consideration and protection. We provide for the well-being of animals who are abandoned, injured, mistreated or otherwise in need. We promote an appreciation of animals and seek to instill respect for all living creatures.
PETS 911 believes that if you consolidate all the adoption, lost and found, veterinarian/emergency clinic, fostering, volunteer, shelter/clinic, and health and training information out there and give the public a single and easy place to find this information; education will substantially increase and euthanasia will decrease. That is our mission.
DoggedHealth is the most comprehensive and authoritative canine health and wellness site on the Internet. We are both an information resource as well as community empowering users to make educated healthcare decisions for their dogs. Each and every piece of content is provided by a vet or, when appropriate, a certified trainer.
Hands for Paws:
Manos por Patas is a non-profit organization dedicated to ending the suffering of stray dogs (called “satos” by the locals) roaming Puerto Rico, desperately in need of medical attention, food and water, and a loving touch.
Our program involves providing sterilizations to the dogs as well as medical attention and vaccinations. We will broaden the program to provide free or low-cost spay and neuter services for all pets in Puerto Rico. We are also beginning a public awareness program that will involve radio and television spots to increase awareness about the cruelty imposed on these animals and will take programs into the schools to educate children about animal cruelty and ethical treatment of animals.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 2.0 million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world.
PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs.
PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.
